The Green Hydrogen Catapult is a coalition of ambitious green hydrogen market leaders, convened with the support of the UN High-Level Climate Champions and RMI.
CHALLENGE
Of the 95 million tons of hydrogen produced annually worldwide, historically 98% uses fossil fuels. That results in more than 800 million tons of carbon emissions annually.
OPPORTUNITY
Green hydrogen—produced with electrolyzers powered by clean renewable electricity— can replace existing fossil-derived hydrogen and support the decarbonization of the world’s hardest-to-electrify sectors.
The best way to do this is through the power of collaboration. By working as a coalition, we’re able to advance member goals and accelerate the deployment and adoption of green hydrogen.
